Solder Quality

We help our customers

Save 50-80%+

of solder from their dross…

At EVS, we are passionate about providing our customers with quality recovered solder from their EVS machine which is always comparable to their solder bath/pot.

Thousands of solder quality tests prove that the recovered solder is always within tolerance of the solder bath/pot and is perfect to replenish the solder bath/pot- this has been authenticated by the solder manufacturers and independent laboratories.

The EVS Solder Recovery Systems use a mechanical process to separate your solder from your dross, leaving solder bars in the tray while the remaining dross powder drops into the dross bin/bucket. EVS Systems never use any chemicals, oils or dross reducing additives in its processes, meaning there is no concern for contamination.

We encourage all our customers to regularly test the solder in their bath/pot and the recovered solder from the EVS System- we have customers with 20+ years use with the EVS Solder Recovery Systems and their solder quality tests are always within tolerance of their bath/pot, despite what some solder suppliers may say!

What you put in is what you get out

In this video, an engineer is scooping the dross from the surface of the wave soldering machine.

The solder drips through the holes in the ladle back into the bath/pot.

Is this considered your solder or recycled solder?

Of course, it’s just your solder!

There is no change in quality from the solder that’s dripping from the ladle to the solder in the bath/pot.

The EVS Solder Recovery Systems operate in a similar concept – separating your solder from your dross.

The quality of the solder that drains into the solder tray in the EVS System is always within tolerance of the solder bath/pot, meaning it doesn’t contaminate the bath/pot.

The EVS System can, however, provide a much higher percentage of solder recovery from your waste dross, providing you with solder bars that can replenish your solder bath/pot.

The quality of the solder dripping from the ladle is within tolerance of the solder bath/pot, as is also true for the solder draining from the EVS system. This means that the recovered solder from the EVS is perfect to replenish your solder pot without risk of contamination,

and our customers solder test results can prove it.
